What a valid notice must contain

1. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
3. The exact address of the page or file on this website that contains the material, so it can be located without ambiguity.
4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
5. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Incomplete notices cannot be processed. If a required element is missing we will say which one, so the notice can be resubmitted.

How we handle a notice

• Notices are reviewed in the order received.
• Material that appears to infringe is removed or disabled while the claim is assessed.
• Where the material was contributed by an identifiable party, they are informed.
• A record of the notice and the action taken is retained.

Counter-notice

If you believe material was removed in error, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. It should identify the removed material and its previous location, include a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal resulted from a mistake or misidentification, provide your contact details, consent to the jurisdiction of an appropriate court, and carry your signature.

Misuse of this process

Knowingly submitting a false claim of infringement can carry legal liability. Please make sure you hold the rights you are asserting before sending a notice.
